Research Methods Module Week 5

Achievements this week:

Academic-related

• Read and made notes on slides from week 4 re: dissertation essay
• Started getting ideas together for CW1- part 1 and 2

Writing

• Censorship in Drail re:The Map- why don't they want to go there?
• Finished questions about Jack
• Chapter Two plot points and outlined very basic plot for whole story. 
• Similarities and differences between Jack and Carla
• 'Free writing' exercises to begin actually writing the story

Reading

• Read Breaktime by Aidan Chambers
• Read another section of Writing Children's Fiction (which I love!) 
• Started reading The Fault in our Stars by John Green (a story about teenagers with cancer...)

Goals for next week:

 CW1 (This is the focus of my work this week)

• Research possible texts in terms of theory
• Fill in ethics form
• Look over examples of CW1
• Properly complete bibliography 
• Finish and submit! 

Writing

• I seem to be having an issue with getting this done, so I'll put it at the top this time- Start Freddie's character chart!
• Free writing

Reading

• Finish The Fault in Our Stars
